Primary Care for General Public

This is an External course held for members of the public
The Primary Care (2 hour) session covers the following;
- looking after yourself and the casualty
- communicating with the casualty and the emergency services (when required)
- assessing the casualty
- priorities of first aid and managing the scene
- recognising life-threatening illnesses
- treatment of an unconscious casualty (adult/child/infant)
- treatment of a choking casualty (adult/child/infant)
- treatment of a non breathing casualty (adult/child/infant)
