A Bit of History…

Bentinck Street Liverpool L5 9TR

LifeSaver Training is located at 16 Bentinck Street, Liverpool. The building from which we operate was built in 1865 and was originally part of a brass foundry.  During the second world war, the railway arches at the top of Bentinck Street where used as an unofficial air raid shelter.

Sadly during the Christmas raids between 20-22 December 1940, which took 365 lives, 42 of these deaths occurred when the Bentinck Street railway arches took a direct hit.
