General Public First Aid

The following courses are suitable for members of the general public who wish to gain first aid skills to assist children, infants or adults who are faced with a life threatening medical emergency.

Basic First Aid

This course is designed to provide individuals with the confidence and skill to assist an injured or ill person at home or when out and about.

Care for Children

The content of this course is based on guidelines issued by the Paediatric Working Group of International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).  At the end of the course participants will be confident in their ability to attend to children and infants first aid needs.

The care for children course is suitable for parents, expectant parents, grandparents, babysitters, foster parents and carers of babies and young children. The course is not suitable for workplace first aid, please see our Paediatric first aid course.

Compression-only CPR

This course focuses on providing the lay person with skill to assist an unresponsive-non breathing casualty by performing Chest Compression only CPR. Compression-only CPR training is not designed to meet workplace CPR requirements.
