EFR Primary & Secondary Care Course

The Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) CourseThe Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development; skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise. Course duration – 1 day Assessment Two multiple-choice question papers and two Knowledge Reviews. Certificate On successful completion of the course an Emergency First Response Primary/Secondary Care (plus additional completed skills) certification card valid for two years is issued. Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day)

6th March 2020

The Emergency First Aid at Work course complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course also cover the safe use of a defibrillator (AED). Successful students receive certificates to show that they are qualified to be an Emergency First Aider at work for the next three years. Course length: 1 day Candidates should wear suitable attire that will allow ease of movement as a lot of the practical sessions are performed from floor level.

The EFR Mental Health Awareness Course provides participants with a broad understanding of mental health. Participants will learn about the factors that affect mental health, and will be introduced to the more prevalent mental disorders and accompanying signs and symptoms, the influence of stigma and discrimination, guidance on supporting people in distress and advice on honing personal resilience. The course includes knowledge development followed by practical exercises and scenarios to develop participants’ understanding and confidence in providing support to people experiencing mental disorders. Course length – 3.5 hours This course is open to any person over the age of 16.
