First Aid at Work Initial (3 days)

The First Aid at Work (statutory) course complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful students receive certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders in the Workplace for the next three years. This course also includes the use of Defibrillators. Course length: 3 days Candidates should wear suitable attire that will allow ease of movement as a lot of the practical sessions are performed from floor level. Health Care CPR & AED Update Training

The CPR & AED update course suitable for those working in the Health Care sector. Candidates are provided with updates on first aid and discuss medical emergencies including Stroke, Heart attack, Cardiac Arrest, Anaphylaxis, choking. They also perform a number of practical skills including CPR, recovery position, complete airway obstruction, the use of adrenaline auto-injectors and defibrillators. The training takes 2hrs. We require a minimum of 4 attendees to run this course. Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day)

The Emergency First Aid at Work course complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course also cover the safe use of a defibrillator (AED). Successful students receive certificates to show that they are qualified to be an Emergency First Aider at work for the next three years. Course length: 1 day Candidates should wear suitable attire that will allow ease of movement as a lot of the practical sessions are performed from floor level.

Mental Health Awareness (3.5hr) Course

The EFR Mental Health Awareness Course provides participants with a broad understanding of mental health. Participants will learn about the factors that affect mental health, and will be introduced to the more prevalent mental disorders and accompanying signs and symptoms, the influence of stigma and discrimination, guidance on supporting people in distress and advice on honing personal resilience. The course includes knowledge development followed by practical exercises and scenarios to develop participants’ understanding and confidence in providing support to people experiencing mental disorders. We will be reopening our centre as soon as we are able to provide face to face, hands on training to our customers in a safe and practicable way.
