Primary Care with AED Course
Primary Care (CPR) teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development; skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.

- Conscious and Unconscious Obstructed Airway Management
Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
The use of Automated External Defibrillators(AED)by trained lay first responders
- CPR before defibrillation
- Sequence of actions when using an AED
- Placement of AED pads
- Voice prompts

1/2 day usually 9.00am – 12.30pm

Maximum course size 12 people.
Assessment
A multiple-choice question paper and Knowledge Review
Certificate
An Emergency First Response Primary Care with AED certification card valid for two years is issued on successful completion of the course.
